Calculating inflammatory indices

In the pre-operative phase, it is useful to assess the patient's level of inflammation.
There are several indices calculated from the blood count, which can be predictive of events that may occur postoperatively.
The blood count elements to be taken into account are :
- Neutrophils
- Lymphocytes
- Monocytes
- Platelets

SII: Systemic Immune Inflammation Index
380 - 500
Neutrophils x Platelets
          Lymphocytes

SIRI: Systemic Immune Response Index
0,5 - 1,3
Neutrophils x Monocytes
         Lymphocytes

Platelets :
A level above 300,000 is a warning signal to calculate the indexes.
